Day One

I took the long Mrt trip with Kang Le and Terence to the west side of Singapore. I was very reluctant to join the MSE/CE FOC camp.. Kang Le somehow convinced me to join in.. thanks if not I would miss all the fun. Kang Le and Terence got posted to Gawain. Many familiar faces in my OG Trojan - Han Teng from Zhonghua, and Wen Loon and Lionel from Bmt Falcon Coy (don't bother to calculate the probability.. all fate one). The first game we played at Boon Lay Interchange was a memory game involving names. I am very bad in remember names and I actually prefer to call myself "cheeky cheekeet" to "kind kelvin".

We played a number of ice-breaking games back at hall 8 - but I felt most of them were too long and conventional. Hall 8 is surrounded by bridges and sits nicely on the hills of ntu like a impenetrable fortress! I fell aslept during the banner painting session at night.. the Trojan flag is excellent.. think it should be Yu Hong's flag cos he did most of the work. The Sherlock Holmes game was boring.. think a group of 26 was too large for such games. Slept at 3am.. no 7 hours of sleep..

Day Two

We had telematches and pool games today.. Trojan was pretty good in games like caterpillar race, pool captain's ball (credit to Kim Hock's waterpolo expertise), pool puzzle (involves carrots, rabbits, lions, elephants and human - don't know how Zi Ying manage to hold on to the float for the entire game). Its time to replace my shiny decade-old goggles (given by my coach Uncle Lee) after Philica pointed out that it was wore out already. We sucked at territorial games like candle blowing and ballon bursting.. cos Trojan lacked height and organisation to move together. The tug-of-war game never materialise cos the rope broke off within seconds..

I waited damn long blindfolded for my SP.. I could hear Wen Loon chatting happily with his ages ago. My SP came finally.. the conversation was very awkward. She was more out-spoken and we had different characters - one likes sports the other likes music. I didn't have the mood to write a proper letter for her.. very exhausted and the hall was almost in total darkness.

Day Three

We had amazing race around Singapore.. er.. not really.. say just around Orchard and Vivocity. As usual I felt the OG was too big to play such a game.. we were really awful at logical games (26 brains can't even solve a Sudoku puzzle). Credit to Philica the Orchard Road Queen.. how she knew __n___ s__ _____n is suntec sky garden?? As usual I was very "lucky" in open number games.. got picked to kiss Wan Ting at the doorstep of National Museum of Singapore!! The night combat skirmish involving water pistols and water bottles was very fun.. back to army.. flanking and night discipline! Sharmagne protected me and Tina with her shield. I too garang already.. tried to flank the Gawain's formation without cover and ended up killed by the programmers! The game was chaotic.. with a lot of friendly fire and artillery bombardment! " Arty! Arty! Arty!"

Day Four

My favourite day. We played beach games in Sentosa.. luckily the thunderstorm cleared in time. We played games like piggyback frisbee (Greg you are damn strong.. almost same weight but you carried me for almost 15 minutes), table-soccer style beach soccer (as usually I held the line like in Zelva with Meng and Guan Yong, and don't forget the hat-trick queen Geraldine!). The caterpillar game was very tough physically but Trojan overcame it with sheer team spirit and determination!

We had a 'campfireless" campfire night cos ntu was afraid that we would burn down the entire campus. I was glad that Leslie actually asked me to be Trojan model.. to me its easier to perform than learn a standard dance move. Trojan won the project runaway and skit! Wan Ting's dress was really lovely and I appreciated Yu Hong's creativity on my gothic pants. My runaway walk was inspired by great films like Troy and 300, plus the Victoria's Secrets roadshow I watch back in camp with all the horny specialists!

Day Five

The SCE had our own games at hall 8, while all the MSE counterparts went somewhere else for theirs. The SCE organisers were very ill prepared and we had some lame games. I enjoyed sampling the oranges during the games.. cos my throat was giving way after many sleep-derived nights and endless cheers. In the afternoon, Trojan had our last game together.. a mini amazing race round ntu. I feel very happy to be in Trojan.. cause we have excellent team spirit, very interesting personalities and strange telepathy within the group (some could mention the mystery phrase even before the actor move a single move).

My SP Nite was a night to forget. Felt like throwing my food on the vanguard bitches.. my SP was as I expected a programmer. I knew it when my two letters had two different handwritings. I didn't even talk to my SP (don't even know her name) and I wanted to keep my gift.. wonder why I wasted my effort to wrap my SP gift. Anyway the programmer got the gift I wanted.. a calendar with numbers and dates on dices. I saw a similar calendar back at 20SA Alpha battery.. find it really cute and unique. The programmers should have paired us up properly.. height matters when it comes to finding your soulmates.. if not I think the clubbing nite alone would do just fine without the lame SP thingy. Geraldine's SP is Kang Le.. haha Zelva need another striker! I enjoyed the later part of the nite.. dancing carefreely with everyone.. but think I should only do this once in a while.. take months to recharge my batteries!

Day Six

Too bad we never get a chance to play telematches against the "dream team" (haha.. the seniors).. guess the schedule was too tight already. Trojan was the best OG for the camp.. wow! To me winning is not important.. it is the spirit that counts. We had lunch-cum-dinner at Billy Bombers.. don't really enjoy the food.. Botak Jones is by far the best.

After this camp, I come to realise the importance of being willing to try out new things and the need to have friends to work together to get us through university. The seniors are really friendly and given me new lights on CE (I realise it is rather foolish to have the mentality to do it on my own). Studies is important but it is not the only thing that exists in this universe.. there are friends to share joy with.. the oceans for me to explore.. want to try go-kart racing.. many many many more interesting things. The last 6 months after ord was a very difficult period for me (my close friends should know why). This camp has changed me to my old self.. the cheerfully enthusiastic energizer bunny!!! Trojan - One Heart - One Soul - 杀 !
