My half-break (due to special semester) has finally came, after my last paper cpe105 data structures and object-oriented programming. Everyone was shell-shocked after the paper because it was very difficult and required far too much brain juices.. how to write 7 short programs in 2 hours!?!? Hope my good lab test results help me pass this module. This holiday I will be relatively free.. I be taking astronomy and c++ (this module is far outdated already) for special semester, gearing up for driving practical on 24th june and ippt on 3rd july (gunning for below 10min for 2.4km run). Looking forward to the next charlie specs outing, zelva chalet and all the foc camps over the next three months! Not going to work this holiday.. continuing my goal of not working until my savings run out. Hopefully my results this semester is good enough then I be applying for the yearly ntu scholarship (biggest obstacle is cpe105). Very happy to be part of the Hall Production Family! We worked damn hard and our efforts really paid off. I learnt quite abit manning the sound effects in the control room and it was fun zooming into Yong Hwee's empty lunchbox using the theatre video camera! Very different experience for me being part of the backstage crew.. think now I enjoy both acting and backstage equally. Thanks Kim Joo, Liang Ze, Zhao Ming, Wai Kien, Han Teng, Shang, Nick Wong, Kenneth and Darren for supporting Remember Papa! My gunners orded two or three months ago. Very relieved to know that I be with my detachment 5 for reservist plus Bernard. Think the two of us compliment each other in style.. he is a better detachment commander while I am a better 2ic. A couple of them entering Ntu soon.. talking about Ntu I definitely will not donate any money to it. Basically Ntu has a very screw up administration and they handed the triple room thingy poorly (I give a F grade) without seeking the student body's opinion first. Who lives in the rooms - the professors or the students? Think I regret going to Ntu.. more because of the distance and no guarantee of staying in hall. But I made the correct choice by not choosing SMU Information System Management. I guess I will never blend into the SMU culture.Once Johnson asked me whether I want to work as a computer engineer. As of now I got no desire to work.. but if I was to do something related I prefer a hardware focus position. Think I will be more passionate working in a logistics field or be part of a team that invents something for the future. Last semester had been tough on me mentally. I better stop emoing every two weeks for no good reason from now onwards. Going to recharge myself doing my half-break! 3rd May 2008
