Now I will be focusing on teachers who have impacted my life. Mrs Gan.. at first I disliked her as she is too laid-back in teaching. However, my opinion change during my 'big depression' in year 1. She encouraged me to take things easy and continue to work hard. I am really fortunate to have a caring CT tutor. Mr Dennis Lim reminds me of Ngai Meng, who are both introverts. I was always eager to attend his lectures and tutorials, because he is passionate in teaching chemistry. He is greatly concerned about our studies and I remember he provided first aid assistance when I got hurt in a 'mini accident' during a chemistry practical. Mr Leong is truely a teacher-cum-maths historian. Another great teacher who shows great interest in students' well-being. I felt guilty as a student because he was always bullied by students (including me) by not handling in assignments on time. Mrs So is my second chemistry tutor. She is 'motherly' but I dont really like her cause she pushes responsibilities to others. Mrs Tan Siew Lan, my Chinese AO tutor, resembles me. An energetic and temperamental person, she enjoyed talking about social issues concerning us in class. Mrs Tan Kim Seng, aka the Dragonlady, was my CT tutor for year 2. Many students in NY, including me, dislike her. I dont really know why, perhaps she is too bossy and naggy. Although I dislike her, she is actually a good and experienced GP tutor. I wished I had a better physics teacher. Mr Ho is one teacher who shows zero passion in teaching. I remember he promised the class that he would return our last physics test on a saturday. He requested the entire class to come back to school that day, but he broke his promise without telling us before hand. I was very pissed, the girls in my class were extremely pissed. 10th March 05'
